Jeff Lynne’s ELO farewell tour hitting Pittsburgh in September

Jeff Lynne’s ELO is embarking on its final tour, which includes a stop in Pittsburgh.

The classic rock band’s Over and Out tour will visit PPG Paints Arena on Sept. 10.

Originally founded in 1970 as Electric Light Orchestra, the band has sold more than 50 million records worldwide on the strength of songs like “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Evil Woman” and “Don’t Bring Me Down.” The band joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, with Lynne inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com, with an artist presale at 10 a.m. Wednesday at jefflynneselo.com and Live Nation, Ticketmaster and Spotify presales starting at 10 a.m. Thursday.
