Rappers Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign were slated to bring the “Vultures 1 and 2 Listening Experience” to Pittsburgh. But it wound up being scrapped not long after the social media posts went out.

After a Friday announcement of the “hi-fidelity audio experience” set for April 9 at PPG Paints Arena, the event has been dropped from the arena’s web site.

“Vultures 1,” the first studio album from the collaboration of the two rappers known as ¥$, dropped on Feb. 10 and includes guest appearances from Travis Scott, Chris Brown, Playboi Carti and more. “Vultures 2” was slated for release on March 8 but it’s yet to be released. It features rapper French Montana and producer Timbaland.

West — who also sometimes goes by Ye, Yeezus or Yeezy — has been in the headlines for years, whether it was drama over his divorce with Kim Kardashian, a series of antisemitic comments that cost him his partnership with Adidas and other brands or his unsuccessful presidential campaign.

West’s last full album, “Donda,” was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the 2022 Grammys.

Pittsburgh was supposed to be the first date of the four-show trek, which also included stops in Washington D.C. (April 11), Charlotte, N.C. (April 12) and Tampa, Fla. (April 14).

According to a post on the Facebook page of Amalie Arena in Tampa, the shows aren’t happening as planned: “We regret to report that due to the time constraints for Ye and Ty Dolla $ign to curate production and meet logistic requirements, the upcoming dates for the VULTURES 1&2 listening experience will need to be revisited at a later date.”
