Two rock icons who rely heavily on horror imagery will visit the Pittsburgh region this summer.

Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper are continuing their Freaks on Parade tour with a stop on Sept. 3 at the Pavilion at Star Lake. They’ll be joined by industrial metal stalwarts Ministry, as well as Filter.

Zombie has been a solo act since White Zombie broke up in 1998, with songs like “Dragula,” “Feel So Numb” and “Never Gonna Stop.” He’s also written and directed horror movies like “House of 1,000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects.”

Cooper, who was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Zombie in 2011, has been shocking fans since the early 1970s, with nods to horror movies, the electric chair and snakes. He’s known for songs like “School’s Out,” “I’m Eightteen” and “Poison.”
