June looks to be a crowded month of shows in Pittsburgh, headlined by a pair of Taylor Swift shows at Acrisure Stadium. Here’s a look at the most notable shows coming to the area in June:

June’s top shows

June 11: Paramore, Bloc Party, Genesis Owusu at PPG Paints Arena

Paramore is hitting arenas on this tour on the heels of the release of its latest album, “This is Why,” in February.

“This tour feels like we got our sea legs the most out of all the tours we’ve done for this album thus far,” singer Hayley Williams told the Cut. “The album started out so shaky, and we kind of had to relearn: How do we write together? How do we move our bodies so that they don’t break down on us, because after four years of chilling at home for the first time as adults, it was definitely zero to 60 — or more.”

June 15: Hardy, Dylan Marlowe, Blame My Youth at Stage AE

Country rocker Hardy extended his “The Mockingbird and the Crow” tour to include Pittsburgh after a vocal injury forced Morgan Wallen to postpone his PNC Park shows (Hardy was scheduled to open).

After starting as a songwriter — with songs co-written with Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line and Jameson Rodgers, to name a few — Hardy started putting out his own music in 2018, with 2023’s “The Mockingbird & the Crow” hitting No. 1 on Billboard in both the top rock and top country album charts.

“I absorbed and lived the country lifestyle growing up and that’s why I talk about it or write about it in my songs so much,” he told Forbes earlier this year. “I listened to rock, but I grew up a little redneck or smalltown kid, whatever you want to call it, so that’s where my lyrics come from.”

June 16-17: Taylor Swift, Girl in Red, Gracie Abrams/Owenn at Acrisure Stadium

The stadium-filling juggernaut that is Taylor Swift comes to Pittsburgh for two sold-out shows at Acrisure Stadium. The Eras Tour is hitting stadiums throughout the United States, and she also has her re-recorded version of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” coming out in July.

“And I’m making more albums at a more rapid pace than I ever did before, because I think the more art you create, hopefully the less pressure you put on yourself,” Swift said in a conversation with playwright Martin McDonagh hosted by Variety. “It’s just a phase I’m in right now. And everybody’s different. There are people who put an album out every five years and it’s brilliant and that’s the way they work. And I have full respect for that. But I’m happier when I’m making things more often.”

June 20: boygenius, Claud at Stage AE

The indie rock supergroup boygenius — Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus — released its debut album, “the record,” in March. (The band’s critically acclaimed, self-titled EP came out in 2018).

“We’ve made a document of our friendship that exists primarily for our gratification that we get to share as something we do,” Baker told Alternative Press.

Singer-songwriter Noah Kahan brings his “Stick Season” tour to Pittsburgh a few days ahead of the June 9 release of “Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever),” an expanded version of his 2022 album.
