Michael Lordi, Elliott Group CEO

Elliott Group Chief Operating Officer Michael Lordi has been named CEO of the Jeannette-based company.

Lordi succeeds outgoing CEO Yasuyuki Uruma, who has retired after 47 years with the Elliott Group and its parent company, the Tokyo-based Ebara Corp.

“Going forward, we will continue to strengthen the Elliott brand by leveraging the close partnership between our U.S. and Japanese operations,” Lordi said, “investing in our people and facilities, and sharpening the focus on strategy and execution.”

Lordi started with the company in 1987 and has held a range of technical and leadership roles, including vice president of industrial products from 2008-2011, vice president of global service from 2011-2016 and COO from 2016-2019.

A lawyer, he has degrees from Grove City College, Robert Morris University and Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.

Elliott is a leading manufacturer of compressors, turbines and pumps for the petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, and liquefied gas industries.
