Huntley & Huntley Energy Exploration, a natural gas company with several unconventional wells in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties, is rebranding itself as Olympus Energy LLC.

The Canonsburg-based company said the new name “reflects the company’s focus on driving a new era of energy leadership within the Appalachian Basin, built on a deep commitment to maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards while delivering exceptional value to all stakeholders.”

“Our transformation comes at a time of exciting growth and opportunity for our company,” said President and CEO M. Chris Doyle. “Our initial delineation wells have outperformed expectations, providing the platform to differentiate ourselves as an emerging leader within the (Appalachian) Basin.”

Founded in 2012, Olympus Energy has active well pads in Penn Township, Allegheny Township, Elizabeth Township, Plum and Upper Burrell, and is pursuing an application for the Titan well pad in Murrysville.
