Sunday will be Buca di Beppo’s last day of operation in Station Square.

The Italian restaurant will close its doors permanently after operating for 25 years.

Hours will be normal until the closure, according to Buca di Beppo management: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

“We’re a profitable location — I know that just being here in the restaurant on a daily basis,” said a manager, who wasn’t comfortable giving his name. “It’s unfortunate; apparently a handful are closing.”

After the Station Square location’s closure, Western Pennsylvania will no longer have a Buca di Beppo.

There was previously a Buca di Beppo location in Robinson as well. The building at 6600 Robinson Center Drive is currently for sale for $1.45 million.

Though the manager said he doesn’t have all the specific information regarding the reason behind the closure, it was “nothing major.”

“We’re not closing for any mysterious reason or anything like that,” he said.

Other restaurants still open in Station Square include the Grand Concourse, Hard Rock Café, Homerun Harry’s, Gandy Dancer Saloon, Joe’s Crab Shack, Kiku Japanese Restaurant, Terrene, Texas de Brazil, The Melting Pot, Tupelo Honey and Yinz Coffee.
