Who would be more excited about the arrival of spring than a group of gardeners?

Members of the Greensburg Garden Center celebrated the new season on March 29 with their annual spring tea at Maplewood Presbyterian Church in Greensburg.

Sponsors welcomed their guests to themed tables gaily bedecked with pretty dishes and — of course — flowers. Attendees also enjoyed a show of fashions from LuLaRoe.

Group members maintain gardens, including butterfly friendly plantings, behind the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center. The group offers workshops, a yearly trip to the Philadelphia flower show and the Katherine M. McKenna Scholarship, awarded annually to a student who has completed one year at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in botany, horticulture, forestry, landscape architecture or a related field.
