1 man fatally shot, 1 wounded in Pittsburgh’s Hill District

One man was fatally shot and another wounded Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, Pittsburgh police said.

The victim was identified as Warnell Boyd, 46, by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner. He was found lying in the doorway of a residence in the 1800 block of Bedford Avenue, where medics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said. The shooting was reported at 1:15 p.m.

A second shooting victim suffered a hand wound and was transported to a local hospital, where he was reported in stable condition Saturday, police said.

No arrests have been reported as of Sunday morning.
