2 Bethel Park homes burglarized, police say

Bethel Park police are investigating overnight burglaries at two homes in the municipality.

Chief Timothy O’Connor said residences along Old Ox and Cambridge roads were burglarized sometime between 3 a.m and 5 a.m. Friday. Several items were stolen from at least one of them.

The chief said people were home at the time of the burglaries. No injuries were reported.

“The investigation is ongoing,” O’Connor said. “It’s rare when we have a residential burglary in Bethel Park, and it’s extremely rare when we have a burglary at nighttime of an occupied residence.”

No information about possible suspects was released.
