Two more people with presumed positive cases of the coronavirus are “isolated at home” in Montgomery County, according to the state Department of Health.
This brings the total of Pennsylvania presumptive positive cases to six.
“These two individuals, both adults, have mild symptoms and are isolated at home,” the health department said in a Sunday statement. “They tested presumptive positive after known international exposure.”
The news comes a day after Gov. Tom Wolf released a statement saying two other people in Montgomery County have presumed positive cases of covid-19, and two days after the first two presumed positive cases of the virus were announced in Pennsylvania.
Following Friday’s announcement, Wolf signed an emergency disaster declaration to provide increased support to state agencies involved in the response to the virus.
On Saturday, Wolf released a statement that said “the commonwealth is prepared and responding appropriately and swiftly so that information and resources are available.”
“I have been coordinating with legislative leaders from both parties, and we have agreed to immediately work toward a package that would provide resources to ensure we are aggressively mitigating the spread of COVID-19,” Wolf said.
The other two people who tested presumptive positive in Montgomery County have mild symptoms and are in isolation at home, according to a statement from Wolf’s office. They “were exposed to an area of the United States where COVID-19 is present,” the statement says.
The individuals presumed positive in Delaware and Wayne counties, both adults, also have mild symptoms and are in isolation at home, state officials said.
