EduNations’ eighth annual benefit concert Dec. 3 features singer-songwriter Sandra McCracken.

The 7 p.m concert will be held in the Memorial Park Church sanctuary and is free of charge. A goodwill offering is encouraged, and all proceeds will go to EduNations for the benefit of students in Sierra Leone. The church is located at 8800 Peebles Road, Allison Park.

Founded in 2004, EduNations is a nonprofit organization devoted to building schools and a future for the forgotten children across the continent of Africa, beginning in Sierra Leone. Motivated by compassion for “the least of these,” EduNations connects resources from affluent societies with the needs of the poorest in the world providing education, opportunity, and hope. The annual benefit concert is one of the primary fundraising events for the organization each year.

McCracken is a prolific singer-songwriter and modern-day hymn writer whose songs like “We Will Feast,” “God’s Highway” and “Thy Mercy My God” have settled into regular rotation in churches internationally. Her music has been featured by All Sons And Daughters, ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” Audrey Assad, Indelible Grace, BiFrost Arts, Caedmon’s Call and others. She has also been a guest contributor for The Gospel Coalition, She Reads Truth, Art House America Blog, Relevant Magazine and other publications. From her home in Nashville, with her two young children chiming in, McCracken contributes to Rain For Roots, producing timeless, gospel folk songs for God’s children of all ages.
