Vendors sought for farmers’ market in Hampton
The Township of Hampton is accepting applications from vendors selling items such as fresh produce, homemade items, baked goods and jams for the Hampton Farmers’ Market, which is scheduled to begin June 1.
The market, which will take place in Hampton Community Park, will operate from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, rain or shine, through Oct. 12.

Community Clean-Up Day scheduled
Hampton’s Community Clean-Up Day is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon April 2.
Volunteers will meet at the Hampton Community Center. Gloves, safety vests and trash bags will be provided. Please wear the appropriate work clothes and shoes.
Each volunteer will receive a T-shirt. Because of the covid-19 pandemic, children under age 16 must be accompanied by at least one parent/guardian who can drive them to the clean-up locations. All volunteers must have a driver.

Trivia program at AARP meeting
AARP Chapter 595 will meet at noon April 3 at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road, Hampton.
Members and guests are invited to a “Team Trivia” program by David Hall, featuring history and fun facts of Pittsburgh.
The chapter meets the first Tuesday of each month. Annual membership is $7.
Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable
Mark and Julia Brugh will present “Citizens’ Perspective on Sharpsburg” at the Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable scheduled for 7 p.m. April 18 at the Hampton Township Community Center, 1301 McCully Road.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing are required.
Guatemala Mission 5K
The Guatemala Mission Group of Saints Martha and Mary Parish in Richland will hold a 5K run /1 mile walk in North Park on April 9. The race will benefit the Hogar de Ninos de San Francisco, an orphanage in Patzun, Guatemala, in desperate need of financial assistance.
Register online at runsignup.com and search for Run Across Guatemala. Registrations are also available on the day of the race.
Check-in begins 8:15 a.m., and the race/walk starts at 9. Dogs and strollers are welcome. Donations are gratefully accepted.
Neighborhood Block Party
North Hills Community Outreach will hold a Neighborhood Block Party from 1to 4 p.m. April 3 at the North Park Sports Complex, 2330 Wildwood Road, Hampton.
Reatured will be family fun and games, a silent auction, face painting, balloon artist, alcohol samplings, music and more.
