Carnegie East Main Farmers Market

The Carnegie East Main Farmers Market opens July 26 on East Main Street between Broadway and Mary streets. The market will take place noon-3 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 25. Masks and social distancing are required. Sampling, eating food on-site and handling products is prohibited due to the pandemic. In addition, the number of shoppers will be limited at times to ensure social distancing. Vendors include Oak Hill Farm, Twin Brook Dairy Company, Wigle Whiskey, Full Moon Candle Shop, Steel City Sanitizers, Masks by Patty Bovard and more. Scott Township offices closed

Scott Township announced that its municipal offices would be closed to the public due to positive cases of covid-19. The buildings are closed to the public until further notice so that they may be sanitized and disinfected, according to a post on the township’s website. In the meantime, residents can contact the municipality for appointments, according to township manager Denise Fitzgerald.

South Fayette hosting Get Outside Challenge

South Fayette Township’s Get Outside Challenge kicks off July 24 and runs through Aug. 28. Participation is free.

New challenges begin each Friday. Weekly details are posted on the township website calendar and on social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). Participants have one week to complete each family or adult challenge. Those who participate in three or more activities will be entered into a drawing for a fun summer pack filled with gift cards and other swag.
