Carnegie Ukranian Orthodox church to host Easter in June

Art of pysanky eggs

Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will hold Easter in June at the 53rd Annual Ukranian Easter Egg Sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 6.

The sale will feature more than 1,200 Ukranian pysanky, Easter eggs, and more than 300 specialty eggs, including goose, ostrich, wooden and beaded.

There also will be folk art and crafts from Ukraine, basket raffles, door prizes and Ukranian food, including pierogi, stuffed cabbage, halushki, Easter Paska bread and baked goods.

Church tours and talks, “Curious about Orthodox Christian Baptism?” will be held at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. with Fr. John Charest, and a parish museum display will be open through the day.

The church is 220 Mansfield Blvd., Carnegie.
