Olivia Cindrich of Carnegie is one of 33 Lebanon Valley College ice hockey student-athletes recognized for their academic performance during the 2020-21 season. She is also one of 57 talented students selected as a Lebanon Valley College first-year mentor to guide first-year and transfer students through their early weeks at The Valley. Cindrich, a graduate of Carlynton Jr-Sr High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise science.
Erik Tagg, a graduate of Chartiers Valley High School, is one of 21 first-year student-athletes to continue their men’s swimming and diving career at Baldwin Wallace University.
Patrick Shaw made the Dean’s List for the summer term at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Cadet Basic Camp, conducted each summer at Fort Knox, Ky., is an accelerated and fast-paced 28-day training focusing on critical military and leadership skills taught during the first two years of Army ROTC. The Cadet Basic Course is based on a leadership development curriculum and situational training exercises. Cadets who complete Basic Camp are qualified to enroll in the Army ROTC Advanced Course. Eight Bobcat Battalion cadets earned outstanding rankings and 12 earned excellent rankings. Out of OHIO’s cadets, 25% earned outstanding rankings, while only 15% of cadets earn that ranking nationally. Brendan Daeschner ranked at No. 4 in his platoon.
Charlotte Zelch of Carnegie received a Master of Science degree in education at Wilkes University’s summer commencement ceremony on Sept. 12.
Laurel Conover of Carnegie performed in the Student Solo Recital on Nov. 5 at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md. Conover is a member of the class of 2022, majoring in art.
Kayla Garbera has been named to Sherman College of Chiropractic’s Dean’s List for grades earned during the summer 2021 academic quarter.
