Florence Bradwell celebrates 100th birthday

Florence Bradwell, a resident of Vanadium Woods Village in Bridgeville, turned 100 on May 26.

Vanadium Woods Village resident Florence Bradwell celebrated her 100th birthday on May 26. She has been a resident of Vanadium Woods Village for 100 years.

Bradwell said she considers turning 100 her proudest accomplishment. Some of her earliest memories come from when she was 10 years old and visited her grandparents every weekend.

She enjoyed sewing for much of her life, but now she finds pleasure in reading.

Bradwell was married for 65 years, has two sons, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

When asked the secret to reaching 100 years, she said, “Putting one foot in front of the other and taking one day at a time.”
