Cookie Walk goes virtual
St. Matrona Ladies Society of St. Peter & St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church is hosting its cookie walk virtually this year. Orders can be placed online at stmatronacookiewalk.com until Nov. 15. Cookie varieties include nut crescents, fruit-filled kolache, Hamantaschen, lady locks and other favorites. Nut rolls, poppy seed rolls and a variety of gluten-free cookies also are available.
Once ordered, cookies will be picked up from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 12 at St. Peter & St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church Hall in Carnegie. Because of covid-19, there will be no in-person orders this year.

Virtual divorce workshop for women
A three-hour workshop will provide education and information on the legal, financial and emotional issues associated with divorce. The workshop will be held via video conference from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14. The workshop will arm you with the knowledge and understanding needed to navigate the divorce process and to save time and money. Cost is $15 per person and registration is required by Nov. 12 to Donna at 724-493-9695. Once registered, online instructions will be emailed.
Pop-up shop planned
Kid’s Closet Connection will host a holiday sales event Nov. 4-8 at Western Allegheny Community Library, 181 Bateman Road, Oakdale.
Parking is free, masks are required, and cash and credit cards are accepted.

Bridgeville offers leaf collection
Bridgeville Public Works crews will be collecting leaves through the beginning of December. Leaves must be swept into piles at the curb, and no other yard waste — such as sticks or debris — can be in the piles. For details and the schedule, visit bridgevilleboro.com.
Women’s Business Network
Part networking group, part educational group, WBN provides each member with the tools to be successful while expanding her circle of influence and marketplace. All professional women are welcome to attend as a guest at the meeting for no charge. The McMurray Chapter meets the first and third Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. at King’s Family Restaurant, 580 McClelland Road, Canonsburg, and November meetings will be held Nov. 4 and 18.
