It wasn’t the suspect authorities were initially looking for, but the Allegheny County and Crafton police departments arrested a wanted man Saturday afternoon in Crafton.

County police said in a statement that its SWAT team was dispatched just after 4 p.m. to Parkview Street in Crafton to assist borough police in apprehending a man, who was not named by police, with multiple felony warrants.

The man refused to exit the building, police said. A short time later, he ran out the back door and officers “deployed less lethal munitions and a Taser” to take him into custody, police said.

He was taken to the hospital, where police identified him as Richard Graham, 41.

“It was determined Graham was not the initial suspect Crafton Police were searching for. However, Graham was found to have multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest in Pennsylvania and California,” police said.

In addition to the warrants, Graham faces multiple charges, including escape and resisting arrest.
