Chartiers Valley seniors were celebrated Thursday evening — the night of their would-be graduation — with a parade through the community.

The graduates, some wearing their caps and gowns, were driven through the school’s campus where they were met with signs, cheers and encouraging words from teachers and staff. The parade then traveled through the communities of Collier Township, Scott Township, Bridgeville and Heidelberg.

Because of the covid-19 pandemic, commencement was postponed to July 9.
