South Fayette couple celebrates 60 years

Sylvia (Szramowski) and Phil Makowski of South Fayette, formerly of Heidelberg, celebrated 60 years of marriage Oct. 17. They are the parents of Cindy (Don) Settina, Sharon (Michael) Chabalie and Carla Bonkowski. Sylvia and Phil have two grandchildren, Jason Palas and Tina Chabalie, and three great-grandchildren, Jace, Jere and Lyam Palas. They welcomed more than 100 friends and family for a celebration at the Fairview fire hall.
Mary Shiwarski of Carnegie celebrates 88 years Oct. 28. She is the wife of the late Bam Shiwarski. Mary and Bam are the parents of Ron (Debbie) who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Oct. 27, and Gary (Marianne) who celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary Oct. 23.
Boyd Houy celebrated half a century Oct. 10 with a party of family and friends. Boyd is the husband of Traci and dad to William (Nichole) Houy and Tyler Houy. He is the son of Butch and the late Patty Houy and has a granddaughter, Evelyn Claire Houy.

Barbara is the wife of the late Joseph and mother to Renee (Rick) Smith of Glendale, Douglas (Megan) Rohrkaste of Kennedy Township, Brooke (Mike) Quertinmont of Collier Township, Hillary (Eric) Kuntz of Collier Township, Quinn (Matt) Garloch of Florida and Ryan (Lauralynn) Mangis. She has 12 grandchildren, Paige, Logan, Regan, Grayson and Bailey Smith, John Rohrkast, Hayden and Amelia Quertinmont, Kennedy and Brady Kuntz, Liliana and Scarlett Mangis.
Pam Wheat celebrates her birthday Oct. 26. Pam is the daughter of the late Joan and the late John Wheat of Scott. Pam continues to operate P. J.’s Deli, Bakery and Catering on Bower Hill Road in Bridgeville that she opened with her mom Joan more than 40 years ago.
Jean (Scisciani) and Gary Brandebura of Carnegie celebrate 28 years Oct. 26. They are the parents of Hannah, who turns 23 on Oct. 31, and Lindsey.

Frank and Garnett Kocik of Glendale will celebrate 33 years Oct. 29. They are the parents of Amber (Josh) Scanlon, Ali and Alyssa.
Aubrey Elizabeth Hermann of Bridgeville will celebrate her 7th birthday Oct. 29. Aubrey is the daughter of Jamie and Mark Hermann and has a big sister, Madison Paige.
Rose and Ray Pencosky of Carnegie will celebrate 47 years of marriage Oct. 28. Rose and Ray are the parents of Nicole Lynn and Michelle Lynn.
