A woman who police say served as a lookout during a vehicle break-in where a coin collection worth thousands of dollars was stolen was captured on surveillance footage Sunday in Castle Shannon.

Thousands of dollars of a rare coin collection were stolen during a vehicle break-in Sunday night near a convenience store in Castle Shannon, police there said.

Castle Shannon police told TribLive news partner WTAE that a man left a coin show at the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department and went to get a drink at the 7-Eleven store along Library Road when the break-in happened.

A person smashed the man’s car windows and stole the coin collection, jewelry and cash, police said.

A woman was inside the store serving as a lookout during the break-in. The two were seen leaving the store in a black Ford Escape with a Tennessee license plate, according to police.
