Fire sweeps through Lawrenceville warehouse
Crews from multiple Pittsburgh fire companies are battling a four-alarm warehouse fire in the city’s Lawrenceville section.
The blaze, at a warehouse on 51st Street, was reported just after 10 a.m., according to Firefighter Josh Abel. So far, no injuries have been reported.
“It’s an entire warehouse fire,” said Abel. “It’s usually our worst nightmare.”
By shortly after 11 a.m., Abel said t crews were working their way through the building.
The warehouse is listed as occupied by CleanCare, a linen and textile rental company.
At least 11 engines were involved in the response.
Shortly after noon, the fire reportedly spread to the exterior of the metal building.
