Firefighters were battling a residential structure fire in Etna Saturday night.

The fire at a rowhouse in the 100 block of Cherry Street was reported at 8:35 p.m., an Allegheny County 911 dispatcher said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries. After about an hour into the fight, no one had been taken from the scene to hospitals, the dispatcher said.

The single-alarm fire was nearly under control within an hour.

According to Trib news partner WTAE, four residents, two each from 117 and 123 Cherry St., were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross was called to help them.

The two addresses are at opposite ends of the same building.

No other information was immediately available.

According to the Etna Fire Department, the Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
