The First National Bank branch office currently located in the River Town Shopping Center in Verona will be moving to brand new building Oakmont.
Ground was recently broken at 300 College Ave. on the corner of Allegheny River Boulevard across from The Lot restaurant in the Edgewater development section of Oakmont. It will be a full-service branch.
“We continuously evaluate our delivery channels and are always looking for opportunities to better serve our customers, including through relocations, de novo expansion and our investment in technology,” said Jennifer Reel, Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications at First National Bank.
The new state-of-the-art facility will touchscreens designed to assist customers with information about all of the bank’s different products and services. It will also feature an ATM with TellerChat, which allows clients to use video chat technology to conduct transactions with a teller during extended banking hours into the evening and on weekends.
According to Reel, the bank picked the open area in Oakmont due to it’s centralized location and accessibility to multiple different towns. She said, “(The new branch) is ideally situated to serve residents and businesses in Oakmont while also adding convenience for our customers in nearby communities.”
The new First National location is currently scheduled to open up sometime in in mid-2022, and the branch in Verona will continue to serve customers at its current location until the move takes place.
