Aspinwall residents will have a chance to talk about the changing landscape of the borough during a community open house on Tuesday.
Officials are hosting a public session to gather input that will be used to develop a comprehensive plan for the next five to 10 years.
“We want to know how residents see the community changing,” Manager Melissa Lang said.
“The borough is assessing where we, as a community, want to go and how we get there.”
The open house-style meeting will be 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Scholastica Pastoral Center, 309 Brilliant Ave.
Business owners are invited.
Lang said the comprehensive plan is critical in charting the borough’s path forward in the next 10 years and beyond.
“Residents are strongly encouraged to be a part of the process and the direction of the plan will be heavily influenced by the input they provide,” she said.
The planning effort began earlier this year with a seven-person committee comprised of borough residents.
Public workshops are the next step in gathering ideas to change and improve the neighborhood, she said.
“It’s a great chance to have a voice in your community’s future,” Lang said.
