For people dreaming of warmer temperatures in the face of a massive weekend snow prediction, Camp Guyasuta is now accepting applications for summer jobs.

Camp Ranger Mike Daniher is looking for an aquatics director, camp counselors and volunteers to spend days at the 175-acre Boy Scout-owned sanctuary in O’Hara.

There also are openings for lifeguards and an assistant Ranger.

Staff must be available at various times from June 5 to Aug. 6. Hours will be shifts between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., when thousands of school-aged children and adults use the campgrounds for team-building, swimming, archery and hiking. More than 30,000 visitors trek through the wooded campus each year, Daniher said.

Various age requirements apply. Applicants must have completed FBI fingerprinting, child abuse and criminal background checks.

Applications are available online. For more, call 412-782-2669.
