Chase Bank was approved for construction at 50 Fox Chapel Road, O’Hara.

Construction along Fox Chapel Road in O’Hara this fall will put an end to musings about potential projects for a former Sunoco gas station property.

Council on July 9 approved a minor land development proposal by Chase Bank to build at 50 Fox Chapel Road, the previous longtime site of the Sunoco station.

Township Manager Julie Jakubec said work is expected to start this fall.

The application was reviewed by the township’s planning commission this summer and recommended to council.

Property owner Alex Condron declined to give details of the project but said he would release them when information becomes available.

Jakubec said the bank is scheduled to open in spring 2020.
