Dorseyville Middle to stage musical

Dorseyville Middle School will present “Frozen Jr.,” an adaptation of Walt Disney’s “Frozen”, one of the top-grossing animated films of all time.

The musical will be performed Nov. 16 and 17, at 7 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. in the middle school auditorium.

All seats are reserved, and tickets are $12 each, plus an additional convenience fee, and can be purchased at https://our.show/dms-frozen-jr. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Dorseyville Middle School is located at 3732 Saxonburg Boulevard in Indiana Township.

National Merit honors

Six Fox Chapel Area High School seniors have been designated as National Merit Semifinalists and 22 have been named Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.

The semifinalists are: Lucas Gravina, Chloe Kim, Shriya Krishnamurthy, Adhitya Thirumala, Abraham White, and Dylan Work.

The Commended Students are: Jacob Anthikad, Annalese Bartolacci, Dylan Berman, Joshua Correnti, Amelia Costello, Nicholas Cusano, Eliza Davis, Logan Dressman, David Feder, Adam Ferris, Emmett Gillespie, Darren Jayaratnam, Clara Kelley, Henry Koloc, Rachel Milcheck, Eduardo Phelan-Vidal, Lakshanya Rajaganapathi, Liviya Rubin, Emily Torbert, Gloria Wen, Isabella White, and Bridget Yun.

The students were selected based on their 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test scores.

FCAHS concert choir, orchestra to perform

The Fox Chapel Area High School concert choir and orchestra will present their major works concert Sunday, Oct. 29 performing Maurice Duruflé’s “Requiem”.

The performance will be held at Shadyside Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 each for adults, $5 for students 18 and under, and $5 for senior citizens ages 65+. Tickets can be purchased at www.showtix4u.com/events/fcahsmusical. Tickets purchased online will include a convenience fee. Tickets will be available at the door pending availability.
