Fox Chapel Area High School students will sing, recite poetry and perform magic during “Fox Chapel’s Got Talent,” a competition following the format of its reality TV series counterpart.
Students have the chance to walk away with a top prize of $300.
The show is at 7 p.m. April 25 in the high school auditorium. It is open to the public.
This year’s talent includes a band, pianist, guitar player, vocal solos and duets, a magic act and a poetry performance. There are 15 acts in total.
Contestants will perform before three judges including Brian Worsdale, music director of the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra; jazz vocalist Tania Grubbs; and a surprise district student judge.
First prize is $300, followed by $200 and $100.
Tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens, and will be sold at the door. Proceeds benefit the high school PTO, a group that supports student programs.
There will be audience raffle prizes as well. They include recording sessions from Tonic Recording Studios, tickets to the 2019 Prom and 2019 Homecoming, a temporary student parking pass, Pittsburgh Public Theatre tickets and various gift cards.
