Movies in the Park
O’Hara hosts Movies in the Park at 8 p.m. July 18 at O’Hara Township Community Park.
Movie will be “Top Gun – Maverick.”
Admission is free and popcorn will be provided.
Aspinwall hosts Movies in the Park at 8:45 p.m. July 21 at the Aspinwall Recreation Area.
Movie will be the first “Sonic the Hedgehog.”
Admission is free and popcorn will be provided.
Food available
North Hills Community Outreach brings its free food distribution program back to Blawnox from 2-3 p.m. July 14 outside the borough building.
Volunteers haul about 600 pounds of food to give away to people regardless of income or residency. They set up shop for about an hour at three different spots all in one day.
People can get fresh produce, frozen seafood, meats, pet food, baby food, diapers and personal hygiene products.
Other locations for NHCO distribution this year include the Free Store along Little Deer Creek Valley Road in West Deer and Fremont Square Apartments in Bellevue.
Other dates on the schedule are Aug. 18, Sept. 15 and Oct. 20.

Volunteers wanted
Volunteers are wanted for Blawnox’s Centennial committee.
The committee will plan celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the borough, September 2025.

Fox Chapel council will meet at 6 p.m. July 17 at the borough building, 401 Fox Chapel Road.
In the spirit
The Allegheny County Wine & Spirits Festival is scheduled for July 22 on the lawn of Hartwood Acres’ 1920s Tudor mansion.
The event features distilleries, cideries and wineries, plus food trucks and live music by Samantha Sears.
Two sessions are available, 2-5 p.m. or 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Designated drivers and people under 21 are admitted free. Valid proof of age must be provided at the event to sample.
