Local attorneys honored

Kathryn M. Kenyon, a commercial litigation attorney, and Kevin F. McKeegan, a business/corporate attorney, both Fox Chapel residents with the firm of Meyer, Unkovic and Scott, were recently recognized in the 2022 edition of The Best Lawyers in America list.

Since it was first published in 1983, The Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence, earning the respect of the profession, the media and the public as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals.

Lawyers on The Best Lawyers in America list are divided by geographic region and practice areas. They are reviewed by their peers on the basis of professional expertise and undergo an authentication process to make sure they are in current practice and in good standing.

50-year reunion scheduled

Members of the Fox Chapel Area Class of 1971 are invited to the 50th reunion Sept. 24.

The celebration will be at the Syria Mosque in Cheswick from 5 to 11 p.m. in the outdoor pavilion.

A buffet dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a night with DJ Grover and dance to music that includes oldies, ‘60s and ‘70s, soul, line dancing and requests.

The cost is $65 per person and is due by Sept. 1. Reservations after Sept. 1 will cost $75.

Women’s Business Network

Women’s Business Network is an award-winning business association that supports the success and growth of women in business. WBN provides members with the tools to be successful, including networking, mastermind groups, and ongoing professional education, while expanding their circle of influence in the marketplace. All professional women are welcome to attend as a guest at a meeting for no cost. Some meetings are being held virtually.

Adopt-a-block program

The Best of Blawnox Organization introduces a new volunteer opportunity for community members.

Adopt-a-block is a volunteer program aimed at keeping the streets of Blawnox free from litter and debris.

Volunteers will be assigned one or more designated neighborhood blocks to clean up regularly.

The recommended commitment is a few times a month when it is convenient.
