Fox Chapel Day will take place June 17 at McCahill Park from noon to 4 p.m.. The event is hosted by Fox Chapel Borough and the Fox Chapel Police Department.
The event will feature Fox Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, Foxwall EMS, a balloon artist, a trackless train, carnival games, food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting and more.
Fox Chapel Day is an opportunity to meet first responders, community members, and neighbors.

Juneteenth Sharpsburg will host its third annual Fox Chapel Area Juneteenth Celebration on June 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kennedy Park in Sharpsburg.
The family-friendly event will offer music, food and activities.
Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States. Officially celebrated on June 19, it was signed into law as a federal holiday by President Biden in 2021.

Best of Blawnox presents its second annual Art Fling from noon to 3 p.m. June 10 between the 200 and 400 blocks of Freeport Road.
There will be glass blowing demonstrations, ceramic kiln work, painting and sketching among other artistic expressions.
A special feature this year will be a masterpiece hunt in which participants who find posters of six masterpiece paintings are placed in a drawing for a family membership at the Carnegie Museums.

Registration for Guyasuta football and cheerleading is open.
It is open for children ages 6-12. Football players need to live in Fox Chapel Area, Allegheny Valley or Riverview school districts. Cheerleaders can be from any district.
Registration costs $40 for the 2023 season. Everyone who registers will get a Guyasuta spirit towel.

Sharpsburg Pride is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. June 10 at Kennedy Park.
There will be a variety of activities designed to celebrate and connect the LGBTQIA+ community.
The event is presented by the Sharpsburg Human Rights Commission.

The 100th annual Slovak Day at Kennywood Park is scheduled for July 20.
Highights include food, shopping from vendors, an anniversary party and a Slovak Mass celebrated by bishops David Zubik and Bishop Larry Kulick.
There will also be performances by PAS and Pittsburgh Slovakians
