Sharpsburg art adventure

Join on May 22 from noon to 2 p.m. for an afternoon exploring the local public art of Sharpsburg, including murals, sculptures, ghost signs and more on this self-guided walking tour.

In addition to unveiling the nature-inspired, Sharpsburg kid-designed metal can mural series by artist Lindsay Huff at locations throughout town, there will also be an unveiling of a new Free Little Art Gallery project and a variety of other fun local art/performances (with some surprises still to be added).

Volunteers are needed to help hand out maps throughout the route and to host their own art experiences on or near the suggested route.

If you want to add an artsy activity to the map or help out that day, email brittany@sharpsburgneighborhood.org.

Wear a mask if you are adventuring with people from outside your household.

If you’re a Sharpsburg, Etna or Millvale resident interested in trying your hand at some backyard (or front stoop) gardening this summer, fill out the form at facebook.com/sharpsburgneighborhood and let us know what seedlings and planter sizes you’re interested in.
