Lower Valley residents can hop into Easter fun with three local egg hunts.

• Blawnox Community Park along Center Avenue will transform its lawn into a festival on April 6.

An Easter egg hunt will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., along with games, face painting and cookie decorating. There will be free activities for the whole family, organizer Diane Casile said.

The celebration is sponsored by St. Pio Parish, Hoboken Presbyterian Church and I Heart Blawnox.

• Sharpsburg Family Worship Center will host its 20th annual Easter extravaganza on April 13.

Aimed at children 12 and younger, there will be puppets, face painting, cotton candy and a petting zoo. Activities will fill Kennedy Park along North Canal Street.

The free event begins at 1 p.m. and concludes with an egg hunt at 3:30 p.m.

• Dorseyville Alliance Church in Indiana Township invites children through fifth-grade to its egg hunt on April 20. Beginning at 11 a.m. at the church, 3703 Saxonburg Blvd., there will be crafts, a light lunch and an interactive gospel activity. The event is free for the community.
