News briefs: Harvest fair, divorce workshop on tap

Harvest fair open for shopping

The Harvest Fair of Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church is open for shopping from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

It is by appointment only.

The fair will continue through Dec. 12 and features furniture, housewares, jewelry, crystal, linens, books, holiday decorations, toys and collectibles.

Divorce workshop offered

A divorce workshop will be hosted from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14.

The three-hour workshop will provide education on the legal, financial and emotional issues associated with divorce. It will be held virtually.

The cost is $15 per person, and registration is required by Nov. 12 to Donna at 724-493-9695.

Once registered, instructions will be emailed.

Library closed on Election Day

Cooper-Siegel Community Library will be closed to the public Nov. 3 for Election Day. The library is a polling place for Fox Chapel District 1.

Due to covid-19 restrictions, and the anticipated high demand for parking on that day, the library will not be open to the public.

Sharpsburg Community Library will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Road closed in O’Hara

Cabin Lane in O’Hara is closed for about five weeks for the replacement of a municipal water line.

Families of O’Hara Elementary School will still have access to and from the building for dropoff and pickup.

Flu shot clinic on tap

Sharpsburg Community Library will have a free flu shot clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. on Nov. 5.

Insurance is not required, but people with insurance are asked to bring their cards. All ages are welcome. Masks are required. The library is at 1212 Main St.
