Aspinwall Clean Up Day
Aspinwall Neighbors, the former neighborhood watch, is organizing a Spring Green Streets Clean Up April 23.
Volunteers can pick up supply kits between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Aspinwall Recreation Area along Field Avenue. Kits include vests, gloves and trash bags.
Pizza and refreshments will be provided at the site starting at 1:30 p.m.
Participants are urged to register at aspinwallneighbors.org.
O’Hara
The township is honoring service men and women with it ongoing Hometown Heroes Banner Program.
Hometown Hero applications are being processed on a “first come, first served” basis.
The program recognizes and honors current or previous residents who are serving or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Each banner will include the service person’s name, branch of service, medals of valor and a photo, if provided.
Banners will be displayed along roads in the township.
Applications are available at the township office or on the official township website, www.ohara.pa.us.

O’Hara
Residents are reminded that campfires and recreational fires require a permit.
2022 recreational fire permits are available at www.ohara.pa.us or at the township office located at 325 Fox Chapel Rd.
Blawnox
Best of Blawnox will have its annual Blawnox Cleans Up event from 9 a.m. to noon on April 23.
Registration and check-in will be at Blawnox Community Park along Center Avenue as well as the borough building along Freeport Road.
Light snacks will be provided at the park.
Volunteers are needed rain or shine. No pre-registration is necessary.
Participants will get disposable gloves, garbage bags and neon vests. Dumpsters will be across from the borough building and by the park.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own rakes, shovels, brooms or other equipment to support the cleanup.

Oakmont
A local chapter of TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Tuesday at 6 p.m. for an interactive program focused on various aspects of a healthy lifestyle at the Oakmont United Methodist Church, 419 Maryland Ave, in Oakmont.
TOPS is a nonprofit, weight-loss support and wellness education organization. TOPS promotes successful, affordable weight management with a philosophy that combines: healthy eating, regular exercise, and wellness.
Visitors are welcome to attend their first TOPS meeting free of charge.
Fox Chapel
The Pittsburgh Concert Chorale presents its annual Pops Concerts: “37 Years of Favorites” in Fox Chapel and Franklin Park.
Tickets are on sale now at www.pccsing.org
The chorale will present a concert April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church and on May 1 at 4 p.m. at Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1501 W. Ingomar Road.
