O’Hara council is expected to discuss the creation of a community liaison officer program during its virtual meeting Tuesday night.
The program, in conjunction with the township’s police department, would aim to develop relationships and better understand needs of minorities.
According to Tuesday’s agenda, the program would “engage ethnic minorities and culturally specific communities to foster cooperation and free-flow of conversation, ideas and opinions.”
Council will meet at 7 p.m. using the Zoom platform.
Anyone who wants to join the meeting can visit zoom.us and click “join meeting,” or, call 1-929-205-6099 and enter the meeting ID 542 798 8718 and password 032515238.
Other business to be discussed at the meeting includes an update on covid-19 and the park facilities, as well as the request to replace a police vehicle.

Roads targeted this year include Harding Road, Grove Street, Oakhurst Road, a portion of Alleyne Drive and a portion of Alpha Drive at Freeport Road.
