Administrators in the Fox Chapel Area spent the first day back to class on Aug. 22, 2019, greeting students in each of the district’s six buildings.

As is tradition, school administrators and board members hopped on the buses first thing in the morning and rode to the district’s six buildings along with the youngsters.

It’s a way to ease any anxieties and also make sure the children know that district staff is excited for the year, officials said.

They greeted the students, shook hands and exchanged high-fives in hopes of starting the year on a positive note.
