Squaw Valley Park tennis courts closed

The tennis courts at Squaw Valley Park in O’Hara remain closed after a portion of the surface buckled, township officials announced.
Manager Julie Jakubec said she expects repairs to be made within two weeks, weather permitting.
“There is a roll towards the back left corner,” she said. “We are waiting for the vendor to come and secure it.”
Cost estimates were not yet available.
The tennis courts are a popular summer spot, drawing people from across the region to the park along Fox Chapel Road.
Jakubec said the buckle could be related to repeated heavy storms.
The park in 2018 was closed for months after flooding deluged the area. Clean-up crews and contractors worked through spring to repair substantial damage that included portions of the trail being wiped out and playground equipment ruined.
