Student news: School address changes, graduation and dean's lists
SSA address change
Shady Side Academy Middle School and Country Day School each have new street addresses after Fox Chapel renamed Squaw Run Road East to Riding Meadow Road in the spring and assigned names to many of the unnamed private lanes off that road.
The Middle School’s street address changed from 500 Squaw Run Road East to 100 Benedum Lane.
The previously unnamed private lane the campus sits on was named in honor of the Benedum Family, dedicated supporters of SSA for many years.
The SSA Country Day School address changed from 620 Squaw Run Road East to 400 Christ Church Lane.
College graduate
Emmeline Klatt of Sharpsburg graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Dean’s list
• Fox Chapel area resident Claire Cummings has been named to the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester. Cummings is a member of the Class of 2024 majoring in robotics engineering.
• Fox Chapel area resident Oscar Izenson was named to the dean’s list at Ithaca College for the spring 2021 semester.
