Scrapbooking at library
Hampton Community Library will host an Intro to Scrapbooking program from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 15.
The first hour will focus on creating a simple page that can get you started scrapbooking or that you can take home and frame. Bring three or four pictures.
Marie Golio from Creative Memories will share, teach and support fellow scrapbookers and their goals.

Ventriloquist entertains AARP
AARP 595 welcomes new members and guests to its meetings at 12:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road.
Guests are invited for fellowship, luncheons, entertainment and trips. The next meeting is May 1. Entertainment will be by Cindy Steck, a talented ventriloquist.

Hampton ’73 reunion set
The Hampton High School Class of 1973 will be holding its 50-year reunion from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 30 at North Park Lounge Cranberry, 20810 Route 19.

An informal gathering will follow the Talbots’ Homecoming football game on Sept. 29, taking place at the Clubhouse, 5301 Ranalli Drive, Richland.
Animal adoption day
The Pine-Richland High School Key Club is promoting animal adoption and humane treatment of pets with an event from 1-4 p.m. April 29 at Petco in Northtowne Square, Richland. Meet animals that could be your future pet while learning more about the Butler Humane Society.
Learn about Hugelkulture
Penn State Master Gardener Elaine Liberati will present a program about Hugelkulture gardening during a Longvue Acres Garden Club meeting at 7:30 p.m. April 25 at Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway, McCandless.
In Hugelkulture gardening, a mound is constructed to create a raised bed of decaying wood debris and other compostable plant materials available in most landscapes. This ancient gardening technique is self-watering, self-tilling and self-fertilizing.
The garden club’s programs are on the fourth Tuesday of the month, and are free and open to the public. More information is available by contacting longvueacresgardenclub1950@gmail.com.
Vacation Bible school
Northmont United Presbyterian Church is conducting a vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon June 12-16 for pre-kindergarten children through fifth grade.
Interested parents or guardians should fill out a registration form by May 29. More information can be obtained by emailing Bre Lewis at bre@northmontchurch.org.
Church hosts Junque Sale
Bakerstown United Methodist Church is hosting a Junque Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22 at 5760 William Flynn Highway, Richland.
The event will feature a flea market and grab-and-go breakfasts. Proceeds benefit church mission projects. Call 724-443-3184 for more information.
