Hampton Community Library’s new fall hours are Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. The library is closed Sundays.

Calling tinkerers, makers & dreamers. Jump into science, technology, engineering, art and math with a STEAM Kit. Our ACLA Nature Backpacks get you outside to take on adventures. Don’t forget Miss Suzy and Fluffy They will be back on Facebook with more stories and bedtime fun Sunday nights at 7 p.m.
In-person classes, programs
T is for Toddler, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-10:30 a.m. through Dec. 14. Join us for an autumn full of songs, rhymes and stories about letters and numbers. All ages welcome.
In Your Neighborhood, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-11:30 p.m. through Dec. 14. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes and games. All ages welcome.
Book Banter (a reading club for busy families): The theme for November is The Natural World. Read a book about plants and animals, real or fantastic. Adults and teens read a book from the monthly theme. Bring the book with you and discuss with the group. Space is limited; please RSVP by phone or in person at the library to reserve your spot.
Families with grade school aged children and up: Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. Families with babies and toddlers: Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.
Read and win
Children are encouraged to read 26 books to earn a certificate and a Gold Star for your Library Card or have your picture displayed on the Wall of Fame. Simply read one book for each letter of the alphabet! Program ends December 11. All ages (babies through fourth grade) are encouraged to participate.
Tweens and teens can participate in the Lucky Number 9 book club. Read 5 books from the challenge card to earn a chance to win! Earn additional chances for a total of nine books. Program ends Dec. 11.
Adult readers grab your bingo marker and read!! In-a-row, vertical, & diagonal earns 1 ticket, (maximum 5 tickets). The more you read, the more chances to win. Cards available at the front desk. Program ends Dec. 11.
Murder by the Book! A Mystery Book Discussion
The Mystery Book Group will be meeting in the library 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17. This month’s selection is “When No One is Watching” by Alyssa Cole. Request a book online or call the library for a copy of the book. Everyone who is interested in great reads is invited to join.
Betty’s Book Buzz Discussion Group
Betty’s Book Group will be meeting in the library Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. This month’s book is “King of Lies” by John Hart.

Cooks-N-Books: Quick & Easy (5 ingredients or less)
Cooks-n-Books is a cookbook and food discussion group for people who love to cook and make new friends! The next gathering is 6:30-8 p.m. Nov. 18. Prepare a dish and bring with a copy of the recipe to share. We meet in Great Room A in the Hampton Community Center. Please note there will be a $2 fee to cover the cost of supplies.
