The Hampton school board and superintendents approved more than 23 personnel changes during their second September meeting at the middle school auditorium.

Most of the personnel changes unanimously approved at the Sept. 13 meeting were for the hiring of substitute teachers and mentors throughout the district but did include the resignation of substitute teacher Emily Milbert and Poff Elementary teacher Jenna Mansfield.

All nine board members were present, as were Superintendent Michael Loughead and Assistant Superintendent Rebecca Cunningham. Attendees were sparse but included some masked in the auditorium and others attended virtually.

More subjects that received unanimous approval included the August 2021 General Fund disbursements of more than $4.9 million, the High School Construction Fund disbursements totaling $198,584 and the Capital Fund disbursements of $35,746.

As with many school districts, covid-19 discussions were part of the agenda for Hampton as well, sharing information on the district covid case tracker that can be found on the district website. This tracker is updated each Friday and showed only six cases for the week of Sept. 3 in-school count.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Oct. 4.
