Hampton schools celebrate ‘Hues and Harmony’
Hampton Township School District is celebrating “Hues and Harmony,” an exhibition of musical and visual arts, throughout May.
An art reception was scheduled for May 11 at Hampton Middle School to celebrate the unveiling of select secondary-level artwork. The reception will feature an art sale and interactive print studio experience with the middle school’s student-run business, Hampton Creates.
“The goal of Hues and Harmony is to proudly celebrate the creative work and development of our student artists,” said Lisa Woods, middle school art teacher. “The exhibition also serves as a showcase of the Hampton arts education program. We aim to bring color, hope and inspiration to the HTSD community.”
Spring music department concerts featuring students fourth through 12th grades who participate in band, chorus and orchestra are scheduled throughout the month.
“We are excited to collaborate with the Art Department in this annual celebration of The Arts in Hampton,” said Sean Desguin, elementary band director.
