Depreciation Lands Museum events
Mark your calendars for these events at Depreciation Lands Museum, 4743 S. Pioneer Road, Hampton:
• Flax to Linen, 1-4 p.m. Aug 28. Come to watch the process and perhaps to lend a hand. Admission is charged.
• Hydref, the museum’s fall festival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 1. The museum comes alive with re-enactors, demonstrators, craftspeople, food, music and children’s activities. Admission is charged.
• Lantern tours, 6-9 p.m. Oct. 15 and 22. A quiet, family-oriented, historical alternative to Halloween. Prepaid tickets are required.
• Beggar’s Day, Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Oct. 30. The last Sunday to visit the museum for the season offers old-fashioned Halloween “begging” for all costumed children.

Farmer’s market held Wednesdays
The Township of Hampton Farmer’s Market is held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through mid-October in the lower parking lot of the Hampton Community Center, 3101 McCully Road.
Vendors for 2022 include Bates & Hayes Kettlekorn, Carlos Aviles Farms, Cindy Munchies, Cunning House Supply Co., Gabriel’s Gardens, Halal Gyro Guys, Loafers Bread Co., Mazzotta Winery, Olive & Marlowe, Russelton Bee Works, Saylors Farm and Sweetwater Farms.

Shaler 50-year class reunion
Shaler Area High School Class of 1972 will host a reunion banquet at 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at Siebs’s upstairs banquet hall.
A reunion picnic will be held at noon Sept. 25 at Kiwanis Park.

Elementary hockey camp
Pine Richland Ice Hockey will hold an elementary camp for children entering grades 1-5 July 26-28 at the Frozen Pond of Pittsburgh (3:40-4:50 p.m.) and at Richland Park (5:30-7 p.m.).
Camp will be led by Pine-Richland varsity ice hockey head coach Jordan Yolik and middle school head coach Brian Smith.
Varsity players will also help campers.
Cost is $100 per player.
