New Renaissance Theatre Company’s Unrehearsed Shakespeare Project Tour includes performances of “The Tempest” at 7 p.m. July 8 in the North Park Boat House Lawn and 5 p.m. July 10 at the Hartwood Acres Mansion.

Family fun day

Nativity Lutheran Church in Hampton is holding a family fun day and picnic lunch on July 10 beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The event is free to the public and the community is invited to participate. A lunch with hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, salads and an ice cream sundae bar will be provided.

Included are a Bible story/puppet activity for the children, water balloons, bag toss and more. You may bring your own lawn chair.

Star parties set at observatory

Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh star parties will take place at 8:45 p.m. July 8 and 9 at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park.

The events are an opportunity for amateur astronomers, students and the general public to observe the wonders of the summer sky. Visitors will also be able to observe the moon two to three nights after first quarter, along with the Hercules cluster and the Ring Nebula.

Elementary hockey camp

Pine Richland Ice Hockey will hold an elementary camp for children entering first through fifth grades July 26-28 at the Frozen Pond of Pittsburgh, 3:40-4:50 p.m., and Richland Park, 5:30-7 p.m.

Camp will be led by Pine-Richland varsity ice hockey head coach Jordan Yolik and middle school head coach Brian Smith. Varsity players will also help campers. Cost is $100 per player.For more information, call 251-859-1833 or email tmooney@kpmg.com.

Flea market at St. Richard

Saints Martha and Mary Parish will hold its annual flea market 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 22 and 0 a.m.-3 p.m. July 23 at St. Richard Church Social Hall, located at 3841 Dickey Road in Gibsonia. For more information, call 724-444-1971.

To-go dinners

Glenshaw Century Club, Inc. will once again sponsor to-go dinners to benefit scholarship grants for Shaler Area High School Seniors and other local charitable organizations.

Meals are $15 each (cash or credit card) with pick-up at Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church, 1520 Butler Plank Road, Glenshaw, from 3-6:30 p.m.
