Calvary Church plans fireworks display
Calvary Baptist Church, 4765 S. Pioneer Road, Hampton, plans its annual fireworks show at dusk on July 3.
Everyone is invited to the show and to the church’s services that day, at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The church’s annual revival with Dr. Dennis Corle will be at 7 p.m. July 7-10 and during the regularly scheduled services that Sunday. Everyone is welcome.

Farmer’s market held Wednesday afternoons
The Township of Hampton Farmer’s Market is held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through mid-October in the lower parking lot of the Hampton Community Center, 3101 McCully Road.
Vendors for 2022 include Bates & Hayes Concessions, Carlos Aviles Farms, Cindy Munchies, Cunning House Supply Co., Gabriel’s Gardens, Halal Gyro Guys, Loafers Bread Co., Mazzotta Winery, Olive & Marlowe, Russelton Bee Works, Saylors Farm and Sweetwater Farms.

To-go dinner
Dinner to go by Heavenly Cuisine Custom Catering is scheduled from 3 to 6:30 p.m. July 8 at Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church, 1520 Butler Plank Road, Shaler. On the menu are turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, tossed salad, mixed vegetables and cookie. Cost is $15 per meal at the time of pickup.

The beneficiary is the Glenshaw Century Club Inc., which provides scholarship grants for Shaler Area students.
Great Gardens Tour on tap
Delight your senses and come tour five spectacular gardens with the 14th Annual Shaler Great Gardens Tour.
The tour takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 10. Sponsored by the Shaler Garden Club, the tour benefits the Shaler North Hills Library.
Your ticket includes visits to five beautiful gardens with unique features such as raised bed flower gardens, wooded gardens and handsome hardscapes, as well as a chance to win a gift basket. The event is held rain or shine.
Tickets can be purchased at the library for $15 in advance and $18 the day of the tour. Tickets are also available online at shalerlibrary.org.
Double class reunion
Pine-Richland High School’s classes of 1970 and 1971 are holding a long overdue, combined reunion for their 52nd and 51st years, Aug. 12-14. Rogers Memorial Duck Race
The Elfinwild Lions Club is sponsoring the Thomas Rogers Memorial Duck Race at 11 a.m. July 9 at Fawcett Field on McElheny Road in Shaler. Ducks are available for $5 and can be purchased at the Shaler Library or from a Club member. Refreshments will also be available.
Farmer’s Market Nights
Pine’s summer Food Truck & Farmer’s Market Nights kick off this year on June 30. The event is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.in Pine Community Park near the entrance along Pearce Mill Road. Items will be available for purchase from vendors including Dee’s Delights, Three Rivers Salsa, CorEats Mixes, Costello Apiaries, Rolling Meatballs, PitaLand Express, Cool Beans Taco Truck, Urban Trail Coffee, Kona Ice and Mr. Bulgogi. Food Truck & Farmer’s Market Nights also will be held during the same hours on July 28 and again on Aug. 25.
Movies in the Park
Bring your lawn chair, beach blanket and enjoy some good family-oriented movies at Richland Community Park. These are free events. Movies start at dusk (approximately 8:30-9 p.m.) and are set up at the large pavilion near the barn. Water and popcorn are available for purchase. In the event of rain, movies will be canceled.

Vacation Bible School
Salem Church in Wexford will hold its Vacation Bible School 5:30-7:45 p.m. July 10-14. It is open to all children agesd 4-11. The theme this year is Food Truck Party, on a roll with God. For more information or to register, visit salem-umc.org.
