Members of Michele’s Dance Center in McCandless are scheduled to perform at the Christmas Tree Lighting celebration at McCandless Crossing on Nov. 28.

McCandless Crossing in McCandless will kick off the holiday season with two signature events.

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration will be Monday, Nov. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The sights and sounds of the season will fill the Town Green with Santa’s arrival as well as musical and dance performances.

Local singer and guitarist Elias Khouri will perform from 6 to 7 p.m, and dancers from Michele’s Dance Center will perform from 7 to 8 pm.

A menorah lighting ceremony will take place Sunday, Dec. 18, at 6:30 p.m. on the McCandless Crossing Town Green near the fountain between Bonefish Grill and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse.

Temple Ohav Shalom congregation members will lead the event to celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of

Lights.

New for 2022, McCandless Crossing will serve as a North Hills Community Outreach Kettle Campaign site. The annual campaign runs from Nov. 25 until Dec. 24.

“The Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting ceremonies are perfect opportunities to start the holiday season on a celebratory note. We look forward to hosting the Kettle Campaign bell ringers for the first time this year and helping to support struggling families in our own community who come to NHCO for assistance,” Kevin Dougherty, president of AdVenture Development, which developed and manages McCandless Crossing.
