Violinist performs for AARP
AARP 595 meets at 12:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2942 E. Hardies Road.
The next meeting is Feb. 6, with entertainment by violinist Steve Vance. Visitors and new members are welcome. Dues are $10 per year.

Greybrooke Garden Club meets
Greybrooke Garden Club was founded 55 years ago in the Greybrooke Community neighborhood of Allison Park. The club has expanded its membership to include members from various communities in Pittsburgh’s North Hills.
Regular meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month in the fellowship hall of Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, 4289 Mt. Royal Blvd., Hampton, and guests always are welcome.
The business meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. A brief period to enjoy refreshments and fellowship precedes the program, which begins at 11.

Depreciation Lands history lecture
Author and historian Jonathon Klemens will present “The Story of the Depreciation Lands: Celebrating 240 Years of History” at 7 p.m. Feb. 22, George Washington’s birthday, at the Depreciation Lands Museum, 4743 S. Pioneer Road, Hampton.
Learn how the Depreciation Lands was established and how it developed. Tickets must be purchased in advance, at $10 for Depreciation Lands Museum Association members and $12 for nonmembers, and space is limited.

Trib Total Media scholarship
Trib Total Media’s Scholarship for Diversity in Media, created in 2020, is open to minorities as defined by the Equal Employment Opportunity Program.
Eligible applicants must be current high school seniors planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university with a major in journalism, English writing or communications. Scholarship recipients each will receive up to $30,000 in scholarship funds awarded in annual installments of up to $7,500.
The recipient also will receive a summer internship at Trib Total Media and, upon graduation, an offer for full-time employment. The students will be required to remain in the approved course of study through graduation and complete summer internships with Trib Total Media each year of the program.
